My Story
My life's journey has been a tapestry of unique experiences that have molded me into who I am today. Born in Syracuse, raised in Rochester and then a move to Chicago instead of college then led me to fulfilling a lifelong dream to be a ski instructor in Aspen. When I realized I wanted a college education, I moved back to Chicago where I received an honors degree in film and video production from Columbia College. I've always had a penchant for the unconventional path, even in the face of life's challenges.
Along the way, my corporate career afforded me the opportunity to collaborate with renowned brands like McDonald's, Motorola, and Tap Pharmaceuticals creating unforgettable corporate events and producing media opportunities at the Torino and Beijing Olympics.
Life had more surprises in store when I visited Crested Butte, CO for a family reunion and was introduced to Evan, who would become my partner both in life and adventure. We spent 5 years working in the yachting industry as crew on charter and private yachts in the Caribbean and Europe.
Upon returning to Colorado, my desire to help others along with a dedication to health and wellness made my next mission clear —health coaching. With over 20 years of experience as an event producer, I understand firsthand the challenges of maintaining health goals in the face of demanding schedules
Balancing 12-hour workdays and finding time for exercise was a constant struggle.
Now, as a board-certified health coach, I help others find happiness and well-being amid life's demands. I'm here to provide unwavering support, valuable insights, and accountability, guiding individuals on their unique journey towards better health and life balance. What does happiness anchor mean & where did it come from?
As a lifelong sailor, anchors represent safety and security to me. An anchor keeps a boat grounded. As I was meditating one day, I had an image of an anchor and the realization that meditation is my anchor.
Meditation is where I go when I need to quiet myself and feel grounded. That is when I can listen to my inner voice and find my own happiness. Happiness Anchor was born from those thoughts.
Research shows that having a memory of a positive experience can actually function as a "happiness anchor," a set memory that we can use to help us navigate back to positive emotions when we encountering stress and anxiety.
